problem about NAN

Hi I'm simulating a river system with 13wb and 14 br. the w2 can run normally,but i need to adjust the slope of each branches. when i reset the slope the result of the water surface elevation often become NAN and there is no result of simulating. sometimes when i adjust the initial water surface elevetion the model can run normally again sometimes it can not. the w2.wrn and w2.wrn are blank. what's the problem? thank you Lei'S

Hi, It sounds like your model is becoming unstable. NaN means "not a number". Try reducing the maximum time step (DLTMAX in the control file). Chris

hi it is no use to reduce the maximum timestep. is there another way out?? is it possible there are faults in my setting?? Lei_S
