Trouble trying to compile own version of the model

Hello. I am trying to create my own version of the CE-QUAL-W2 model, however I am having trouble while opening the .sln file on Microsoft Visual Studio. I have already installed both MVS and Intel Fortran Compiler, and yet, after opening W2_model_PAR.sln on MVS, it does say that the project is incompatible, even though the files are opened for editing. I am no expert on compiling FORTRAN code, and I was wondering if you could give me a jump start by giving me some tips, for instance, the versions of Visual Studio and Intel Compiler that you use for compiling the .exe. Error message : exporting bathymetry from excel : Run time error '52'

I'm trying to export the bathymetry in excel using the add-ins (Excel macro utility for writing files in W2 format from Excel) and the following error message pops up: Run time error '52': Bad file name or number Does anyone know the nature or cause of such a message?

Error with outflow interpolation control

I am dealing with a recurring error in my control file with the outflow control of my model. The error log keeps giving me an error that reads: "Outflow interpolation control [QOUTIC= ] /= ' ON' or 'OFF' for structure 1 in branch 1." The field for my withdrawal outflow interpolation is labeled [WDIC] in accordance with the user manual for version 4.2 and is set to ON. I changed the field label to QOUTIC to match the error log and ran the model again but it failed to resolve the error. Can anyone advise?

Installing GUI on Windows 10 error

I'm running into an issue installing the GUI where it attempts to install and register a "msado60.tlb" file and override the built in versions that already exist on my computer in another directory. Is there a way to fix this or work around it? Thank you!

Post Processor plan view error

Hi, I have a model with 2 waterbodies. For some reason the post processor plan view only shows the branches in the second water body. I get an "Error # 11 was generated by W2_Post3 Division by zero" when I try to look at the branches in the first waterbody. Has anyone had this issue? Could something be wrong in my bath files? The model seems to run fine and looks fine in the W2_Control bathymetry viewer. Thanks, Jim

Compiling V4.1 on Linux

Hi, I am interested in working with V4.1 in a Linux environment. I have seen thread for v3.71 https://w2forum.cee.pdx.edu/?q=node/500 1. Does anyone have a Makfile for version 4.1 (or an executable for Ubuntu)? 2. Does anyone know what compile flags will allow multi thread processing? Thanks in advance, Yoav

Compiling V3.71 on CentOS release 6.3
