TDS, DOM and HCO3-

Hello, I am running computations for a reservoir I find out in the time series plots that TDS can be far below HCO3- and L+RDOM concentrations. Is it possible ? Does it mean that dissolved organic matter and carbonates are not included in TDS ? If this is the case, to which elements should TDS be limited ? I could not find the answer in the user's manual... Bieder, Yes, TDS has no relationship in the model to the carbonate species or alkalinity, for that matter. DOM is never part of TDS. TDS is based on the definition in EPA's Standard Method, so you should probably read their description in order to understand what TDS means.[addsig]
