VPR profile - illegal values?

Trying to implement vertical profile for TDS. My model starts in January when there is no thermocline and it develops a thermocline consistent with field observations so I have not turned on the vertical profile for T. The preprocessor tells me I have illegal values in my vpr file, but I don't see where they could be. I have -1.0 specified for TDS in my control file.
