Water level too deep

Hello, Im modelling two shallow lakes (2 and 3.5 m of depth) consisting into 14 segments (2-6 lake 1, 9-13 lake 2) and 2 active layers. The preprocessor has no errors or warnings but when I run the model in the w2.wrn I get this message "Water surface is above the top of layer 2 in segment 9 at day 4.604". What could be the cause for this? I tried to reduce DLTMAX, etc, etc but I am clueless!!! Thank you. Alma

Just test with more layers, e.g make the layers thicknesses to half or one-forth. Also in "Branch Geometry" (manual, page 372, C-14) change the NLMIN (Minimum number of layers for a segment to be active) to one.
