Compiling v3.6 on Linux blade with gfortran 4.1.2 or 4.5.0

I was wondering if anyone had detailed steps for compiling code on LINUX. I am running Centos 5.x on a ROCKS cluster, using either Gfortran 4.1.2 or 4.5. A Makefile template would be appreciated or at least some general instructions. While ideally I'd like to run in parallel over several blades, getting a compile for a single blade with dual quad cores would suffice for now. Any help would be appreciated. D Richers
