Layer issues in snapshot output

About a quarter way through running the W2 application I run into errors because it hits my bottom layer and starts giving me negative layer thicknesses. I dont know why it keeps going lower and lower in my layers. Any advice? The error is posted here: Computational warning at Julian day = 2296.901 timestep = 0.094 sec Computational warning at Julian day = 2296.901 timestep = 0.077 sec Computational warning at Julian day = 2296.901 at segment 5 timestep = 0.100 water surface deviation [Z] = 1.300 m layer thickness = 0.000 m Thanks!

Nettie, The model is going unstable. One thing to try is reducing the maximum time step (DLTMAX) in the control file. Also, make sure that the model isn't "drying up". If water depths are becoming to shallow (for instance, if the depth at a segment is much less than half a layer thickness) the model can go unstable. chris

Thank you so much Chris. I have one more problem for you. I added a second water body, which is almost identical to my first. Now when I try to open the bathymetry file in GUI interface I get a "runtime error 9 - subscript out of range". Any ideas on what is causing this? I dont have any errors or warnings in my preprocessor. Thanks again for all of your help. I'd be lost without you.
