flow field

Dear sir : I am a novice on model ce-qual-w2 and here to ask for some guidance. I want to simulate the river hydrodynamics without water quality, exactly or currently the flow field (the velocity or distribution of flow and the factors related). I’ve read the manual twice, as I didn’t have any experience before, I still not have a clear idea of how and what to do in detail. So, would you like to do me favor to give me some help or guidance? What information or directories at least should I prepare to achieve my goal? Thanks for your help as I know your favor would mean much to me as it will guide me in the right direction and save me much time and energy! Thanks again! Yue Junfei

Hello, One way to familiarize yourself with the model is to the run the Degray Reservoir application that is available as an example in the download package located at: http://www.ce.pdx.edu/w2/ Run the model and review all the input files and output files. When you build you own application, use these input files as a starting point. Also, Portland State hosts an annual workshop (this year occurring on September 15-19) where we provide instruction on how to use CE-QUAL-W2.
