Runing Error for Surface Elevation

Dr. Wells and Tom, When I used an old version of W2 (received from Tom several years ago) to simulate temperature in Amistad Reservoir, I had some problems about water surface elevation simulation. I would like to know whether new version 3.2 can handle the issue. For my simulation, the water surface elevation at the first day of the simulation is lower than the bottom elevations of some of segmenets in the headwater region of the reservoir, it means that part of reservoir functions as river, water surface profile will play a role. Using old version, it stops at certain day when water suface elevation leads to negative layer thickness. **SEVERE** computational warning at Julian day = 98.083 at segment 20 water surface elevation [Z] = 1.011 m layer thickness = -0.011 m When I removed those segements with bottom elevation lower than initial water surface elevation, it can run through, but water budget is not right any more. I downloaded new version. Would you let me know the new version can handle this? Any suggestion to handle it different? Thanks

I am not as familiar with your application as Tom or Scott may be but the new code should be able to handle the water surface elevation at the headwaters below the bottom of the grid.
