Using the pre-processor to generate bth files

Apologies if this is a very simplistic question -- I am a new user and still finding my way around the program. I am trying to create my bth file. What is everyone using to generate these data? WMS or W2i? Or the pre-processor with CE-QUAL-W2? Tried a trial version of WMS and with a TIN file but encountered some errors with segment numbering that I am trying to resolve. Have not tried W2i yet. Wondering if it is easier to use the pre-processor that comes with W2? However it's not clear to me how you go about using this .exe file. I could not find any documentation on the process. Any insight that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe using WMS is a good practice. I also had the same problem with the segment numbering. I used the WMS to get the elevation data from TIN and convert those to segment widths. Then I did the numbering and other adjustments manually.
