Simple canal (1D river)

What output structure should be used to model a simple canal or a river with a uniform steady state flow? what features this structure should be have? regards

Hi. I know this question is outdated. I am answering since I also had the same question so the others can use the answer. If you do not have information on outflow so the best option is using a spillway so the model calculate the outflow internally.
