Cloud Cover Issue

Greetings I have what is probably a very simple question to answer, but I am stumped. For the met file, I have daily solar radiation values (W/m^2) but I do not have cloud cover data (0-10). Should I just assume a value for the cloud cover, or should I leave all the values as zero. thanks for any help! Kevin Ware [addsig]

Tough question. The model allows you to read in solar radiation rather than compute it from cloud cover by using the variable SROC (look in the manual for more information). However, daily average values are problematic at best. You can try it, but I wouldn't expect good results.[addsig]
