possibility of using CE-QUAL-W2 ???????

I'm interested in the possibility of using CE-QUAL-W2 for hydrodynamic and water quality modelling studies of certain selected regions along west coast of India which includes estuaries , creeks, coastal sea etc. Is this feasible to use CE-QUAL-W2 in these regions?[addsig]

Hello V. R., Yes it is feasible to apply CE-QUAL-W2. Keep in mind that CE-QUAL-W2 is 2-dimensional (vertically and longitudinally) and is width averaged. If you have significant variation across the channel, then you might want to consider a 3-D model. However, CE-QUAL-W2 does permit multiple branches, and side channels and/or embayments can be described with additional branches. Hope this helps, chris
