Suspended solids settling rates (SSS)

The Suspended solids settling rate is in m day-1. But in reality the settling is extensively dependent on flow characteristics. I used the model for simulating a flooding event. The flow starts from 100 m3/s and get a peak of 5200 m3/s. By using a m/day concept the model underestimate the TSS during the flood and overestimate before flooding. I believe the model would perform better if the SSS calculated based of flow. Something similar to temperature rates adjustments curves.
