High values of Coliforms

Hello, I'm modeling high values of coliforms in a stabilization pond, so it's no enough the 8 characters to input the value. I've been trying to use the format e.g 5E+07, but the model does not read the value. Any suggestions to input the value, so the model can read it correctly? Thanks for your help. Alma

Hi Alma, It is strange. because my model reads the scientific format without any problem. I double checked with your Ciloform value and again it worked very good. Check if the number entered in 8 character space. However if it does not work this may solve the problem. In your control file increase number of groups (NGC) from 3 to 4. Then use the same criteria( same as Gen3) for your newly added group in (GENERIC). So you have two coliforms groups with the same characteristics. Now you can input values in two parts. Amir

Hello, Amir. Thanks for your answer. I've been trying with different options but the model does not read scientific format. I'm going to try with your suggestion. I have one question: Can you change the number of decimals in the OPT files? Because in the snp, spr files, the number always has 3 decimals, can I reduce them? Thank you!!! Alma

you are welcome Alma, The reporting part does not get instruction for generating output. However, in the source code you can change the settings. which I think you are not thinking for now.

Hi Alma, I was wrong in my previous comment. The file "graph.npt" "controls output formats for the model output variables". Page 733 (or C-375) - "Graph Input File". Amir
